Project Red Dress Contest Rules
1. All designs must be ORIGINAL. Entries must be after 5 cocktail wear to formal gowns, long or short will be accepted. The theme of Red Dress must be followed with the majority of the color of the garment being red or solid red.
2. All design sketches must be on 8.5” by 11” sheets of unlined white paper. Color sketches or good photocopies are accepted. Your name and address MUST be clearly marked on the back of EACH design sheet. Sketches will be used for the print productions and will be sold.
3. Your design sketches will not be returned unless you request it and have also included a large enough self addressed stamped envelop with sufficient postage (No metered postage) on it, with your designs.
4. Entry forms and design sketches must be received at the address to follow no later than January 30, 2010. Project Red Dress, c/o Enhancements Boutique, 1903 Grant Street, Jonesboro, AR 72401. An entry fee of $50.00 must accompany the adult entry form, and $25.00 for the Junior or Teen entry form. You may pay with check or money order (NO CASH). Once your dress arrives, we will email you that it has been received.
5. All dresses MUST arrive at the address to follow by February 20, 2008 or earlier. Project Red Dress, c/o Clarks Bridal and Formal, 436 Southwest Drive, Jonesboro, AR 72401. Please include the form provided with your garment.
6. All contestants are offered an opportunity to sell their dresses with a portion of the proceeds going to Cardiology Associates Foundation. An announcement will be made at the fashion show as to which dresses will be available for sale. The dresses not sold immediately after the fashion show will be taken to Enhancements Boutique. There, the dresses will prominently be on display as original designs. If after two weeks your dress has not sold, it will be returned to you. If you choose to sell your dress, please mark the form appropriately and include the amount you wish to sell your dress for. Also, select one of the three donation options.
7. Though the utmost care will be given to every dress to insure its safety, Project Red Dress/Red Dress Fashion Show/Cardiology Associate Foundation/Clarks Bridal and Formal assumes no responsibility for damages in shipping and handling or during the event.
8. If you would like to come to the Red Dress Fashion Show on February 26, 2010 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, hotel accommodations will be provided for the entrant for one night at reduced rate. For reservations, please contact Shelley at the number or e-mail below.

10. By submitting your design/dress to Project Red Dress/Red Dress Fashion Show/ Cardiology Associates Foundation you agree to the non-profit use and publication of said design/dress by Project Red Dress/Red Dress Fashion Show/ Cardiology Associates Foundation, prior to and during the run of the entire event. All rights revert back to the designer after the event.
Judging Criteria, Prizes and Awards
1. Project Red Dress will have two levels of entry: Amateur and Professional. All dresses will be judged on the following criteria:
1) Garment Quality 2) Appeal 3) Adherence to Theme
2. The following prizes will be awarded at the Red Dress Fashion Show on February 26, 2010.
- Amateur
- 1st place - Two tickets to Red Dress Fashion Show in New York City on February 6th, 2009. Airfare provided.
- 2nd place - $150.00
- Professional
- 1st place - Two tickets to Red Dress Fashion Show in New York City on February 6th, 2009. Airfare provided.
- 2nd place - $150.00
- Teen (age 13-18)
- 1st place - $100.00
- 2nd place - $ 50.00
- Junior (age 9-12)
- 1st place - $100.00
- 2nd place - $ 50.00
3. There will also be one special award given to the designer of the dress which is “The People’s Choice”. This will be the dress which raises the most money when the dresses are on display at the Mall at Turtle Creek. Viewers will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite dress by donating to Cardiology Associates Foundation. (Please note that the dresses will have 24 hour guard, as they will be displayed with the National Red Dresses.) The People’s Choice Award may or may not be given to the recipient of the 1st, 2nd or 3rd place winners in either category.
